All lessons are tailored to the individual. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced or professional player, the first lesson, I evaluate where you are and find out where you want to go.
I encourage all students to read music, but I also work with tablature, ear, and whatever it takes to play.
The focus is on repertoire, after all, as a musician, your stock in trade is the music that you can play. All theory, technical studies, and mental and physical practice should lead to that goal.
I also work with songwriters where we work with lyrics, form, and arranging.
All students are encouraged to write original songs and record them with the software that I have. These can be burned to CDs or transferred to USB flash drives in any format; wave, mp3, etc.
Equipment: Polytone, Musicman, and Fender amps. Alesis SR-16 drum machine. Shure and Audio-Technica mikes.Pre-Sonus Firestudio Mobile, Studio One software, and M-Audio speakers for recording.
